Arve Håland with new solo exhibition in Galleri Parken

Arve Håland, Associate Professor at KHiB, uses effects that we would normally try to avoid - first of all rust, but also other kinds of discolouration - for a meaningful, aesthetic purpose.

The closest parallel to that is of course the use of rust in certain kinds of sculpture and architecture. The paintings are related to his artistic research project at Bergen National Academy of the Arts. The project will be presented in Rom8 in late March.

Exhibition period: 11 February - 4 March 2012

Opening hours: Tuesday-Friday at 12-16, Thursday at 12-18, Saturday-Sunday at 12-15.
