Stormens auge
Stormens auge | the Eye of the Storm: a Nordic cross - over project investigating silence through found material, sound, video and text – developed by curator Grete Huus, the Nordic Artist`s Centre Dale and nrk Ulyd.
Stormens auge was ongoing from 30th March until 4th April 2006 at nkd in Dale. The project consisted of a twodays seminar and four days with workshops for 18 participating artists from Scandinavia and Balticum. Guestspeakers gave various perspectives and analysis on silence as a phenomenon - and artistic colloboration provideded research and treatment of the same topic. The result of the research that ended in artpoduction is mainly published as webart from week 16 2006 in cooperation with nrk at www.nrk.no /ulyd. “The Eye of the Storm” wanted to focus on the notion of silence as a comment on today’s developement where we are forced to cope with an overwhelming stream of information, hightech and the roaring noise from commerial media and consume. The workshop arranged for a flexibel and dynamic research process, collaborative art production and new network establishing across extended Nordic bordes.
