Application and admission
Bergen National Academy of the Arts (KHiB) offers no BA programmes in English.
KHiB admits international students to the following MA study programmes:
- MA in Design at the Dept of Design
- MA in Fine Art at the Dept of Fine Art and at the Dept of Specialised Art
Before the closing dates, fill inn and send the application form, the portfolio and draft of project description. Short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview at KHiB. Invitation for an interview will be sent by February 2010 for applicants to the MA programme in Fine Art, and April 2010 for applicants to the MA programme in Design.
The interviews will take place in March 2010 for the MA programme in Fine Art, and June 2010 for the MA programme in Design.
Send the application form and portfolio in one envelope or package and mark it clearly with the name of the programme(s) applied for. All documentation and examples of work must be clearly marked with number, title and name of the applicant.
Admission will be determined by an overall assessment of the applicant’s qualifications, the quality of previous artistic work demonstrated by submitted documentation, the project description and the interview.

Teaching language at KHiB
Bergen National Academy of the Arts offers courses mainly in Norwegian, but since a number of students and staff are international it is not uncommen that parts of the classes also are done in English.
