Diversity
Applicants to the Academy come from a large number of schools and with widely varying practical experience. Some come to us with general qualifications, some have a specific practical training, and others have attended a university or college.

For admission to the MA programmes a BA or other relevant education corresponding to 180 ECTS credits is required.

No tuition fees
KHiB is part of the public education system in Norway, which means that students do not pay tuition fees. Norwegian students may have financial support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (NSELF). International students should be prepared to provide funding to cover living expenses and material from their home countries.

Through the national Quota Scheme, KHiB is able to offer financial support to three MA students from Central and Eastern Europe or developing countries. Support is given in the form of grants and loans. When the students return to their home countries, the loan part is converted into a grant. There is no specific application procedure for support under the quota scheme. The allocation is directly linked to the MA application process, and KHiB makes a selection among the elegible applicants.

For more information, please consult the web site of NSELF, which is responsible for the funding

Apply
Fill in the application form and send it together with your portfolio/assignments before the closing date. It’s important that you read carefully all the information about your chosen programme. If you want to apply for several programmes at once, you can do this, but you have to send a full application for each of them. Remember, though, send only one application form!
