Title: Daphne

Based on the opera by Jacopo Peri, Daphne is a puppet animation in two acts.

In the fist act Apollo is confronted with his son Phaeto.
Phaeto wants to drive the golden carriage to prove he is a semi-god, but Apollo says no.
Phaeto then upsets the gods by stealing the golden carriage
but unable control the horses Phaeto burns the earth and creates a desert.
When Zeus hear about this he kills Phaeto with a lightning bolt.

In the second act Apollo set out on a journey through the desert his son Phaeto has created.
In the desert he meets the god of love Eros, a group of bedouins and the beautiful nymph Daphne.
